Description:
In 2015, the 120th anniversary of Pablo Picasso's first exhibition in his long artistic career was celebrated. The event took place in February 1895, when the young artist was just 13 years old, in a commercial establishment on Calle Real in the city of A Coruña, where he lived from 1891 to 1895.

What better way to celebrate this joyful occasion than with a figure designed by the Laboratorio de Formas de Galicia, representing a cheerful and festive character like the Harlequin? This figure embodies the cunning and intriguing protagonist of the Italian Commedia dell'Arte, a character present in many works from all periods of the Málaga-born painter’s artistic journey, especially during the Cubist period in the early 20th century.

This decorative piece has been hand-painted on glazed porcelain with an intense red color, undergoing a third firing at 800°C, making its production process more intricate.
