Sargadelos y Estrella Galicia presentan la columna Génesis.
The successful trajectory of collaboration maintained by these emblematic Galician companies dates back to the 90s and now adds a new milestone with the launch of this column that is already beginning to be present in hospitality establishments throughout the country.
Design
The Genesis column is produced by hand in the Sargadelos factory. It consists of three parts of porcelain that are assembled together and that house the necessary mechanisms for the perfect circulation of beer It has as a base module a hexagon, a polygon of 6 sides and 6 equal angles, which multiplies forming a modular system of 6 heights, inspired by the 6-pointed star, protective emblem of the old brewers' guild. It symbolizes in this way in each of its edges the processes (malting, cooking, fermentation) and elements (air, water and fire) necessary for brewing. Its production is very complex as it is one of the largest elements that have been vitrified in the ovens of Sargadelos. This process of cooking at high temperatures gives the piece unbeatable characteristics, such as hardness and resistance, zero porosity or whiteness.
A long history of success
The collaboration between Estrella Galicia and Sargadelos dates back to the 90s and had its first launch with the Esfinge column in 1998. The success of the porcelain taps of the brewery means that its use is quickly extended by a wide typology of hospitality premises and the first column followed others such as the Sibyl, the Zigurat, the Golden Sphinx or the Tradition. Nowadays, the beer service columns of Sargadelos for Estrella Galicia have become emblematic elements that represent a way of being shared around the craft, both in brewing and in porcelain production. This collaboration has gone far beyond the columns and other elements have been created in common such as beer jars, trophies, replicas of the bottle or the can of Estrella Galicia, or the renowned jug Growler.
