Itálica Bowl
Ref: 31104692
Unlike most Sargadelos decorations, which are inspired by shapes drawn from Galicia’s rich cultural heritage, the *Itálica* motif is an exception. This design comes from a 2nd-century AD Roman mosaic that belongs to the archaeological site of *Itálica*, a city in the Roman province of *Baetica* (present-day Andalusia).
This mosaic is part of a thermal bath area and is dedicated to the god Neptune, depicted at its center, surrounded by various sea creatures, most of them mythological. The central space is enclosed by a second band featuring birds, crocodiles, hunters with spears and shields, and plant elements. The *Itálica* motif is taken from the perimeter decoration of this remarkable ensemble. Measures:
Height: 5,6 cm
Ø 11,2 cm
Capacity: 0,3 L
Material: Porcelain.
Care: Suitable for dishwashers and microwaves.
