past.
The monastery of Monfero is located in the foothills of the Serra da Loba, in a ravine where the river Lambre flows into the Betanzos estuary at Ponte do Porco. The temple, the cloisters and its immensity of carved stone emerge in the middle of a solitary
valley, surrounded by a landscape of dense pine forests and enveloped in lush vegetation.
